BlackBox moved from the Las Olas Boulevard area to the EnterprisewDevelopment Corp. (EDC) of Southg Florida’s technology incubator abouft amonth ago. The move shoulf help the company leverage the expertise of nearbuy business development professionals withtechnology experience, President and co-ownefr Steven Muntean said. “We just needed to be in an environmentf that will allow usto grow,” he said. BlackBodx has nine employees in Boca Ratomn and five more inBuenos Aires, The company hopes to have 25 total employeeds by 2010, Muntean The company makes asset-tracking hardware and softwarew targeted toward companies with five- to 200-vehicled fleets, Muntean said.
Companies can use the software to tracl their vehicles within seconds and producedetailefd reports. BlackBox was formerlhy a unit of Sunrise-based that Muntean and partners bought ayear ago, he By the end of this month, Muntean said he expectes BlackBox to have nearly $1 milliob in revenue. BlackBox is one of 13 youngb companies currently at thetechnology incubator, EDC Executive Director Jane Teagus said. She welcomed the company’s “It’s another good company, and the fact that they’red already generating revenue and have customers is quites remarkablethese days,” she said.
