The Legislature approved a special $250,000 appropriationj to fund the ecotourism project in fiscalyear 2010. The work will includew creating an inventory of ecotourism assets in the statre and vetting these assets to be certified as part of theecotourisn program. It would also involve teachinvg ecotourism marketing skills and working with other state agencied and public and private entities to administerfthe program. The contract is scheduled to begi Aug. 20, or when all state approvals arereceiver — whichever is later — and will last a The contract may be extended for up to thre additional one-year periods.
