M&T to build new Southgate branch - Sacramento Business Journal:

The 9,100-square-foot office will be located in the spaced once occupied bya stand-alone Citibankm N.A. branch, M&T Bank spokesperson Chester Bridgeesaid Wednesday. M&T took control of the buildin in 2006 as part of its acquisitiobn ofnine Buffalo-area Citibanko branches. The current M&T branch adjoined to the plaz will close and all 23 employees will relocate to the new which has been designerd to meet Leadership in Energyg and EnvironmentDesign standards, Bridger said.
M&Ty Bank recently demolished the former Citibank branch to make room for the new Lorenzo Apicella of the Pentagra marchitectural firm, along with local firm and , designed the which will feature a glass exterior and an environmental-friendly plumbing systemm to conserve and reduce water use. It couldr not be immediately determined how much the new buildinbwill cost. It will be “larger than the cost of an averagr branch” due to its LEED design, Bridgedr said. M&T Bank currently operates 55 branchew inthe Buffalo-Niagara region. It is the second largesgt deposit-taker in Western New York.
